TAP - The Time Allocation Protocol

Sholto Works is a content and intellectual property project currently in development. We produce analytical writing, long-form research, and AI-enhanced creative work across finance, technology and systems thinking.

The project

Sholto Works is a project in development operating at the intersection of rigorous analysis and careful writing. It develops original intellectual property across digital and traditional formats producing work that is built to last, not optimised for the algorithm.

Protocol Architecture

Not a speculative token project

TAP - The Time Allocation Protocol

What is TAP?

TAP is a deterministic, multi-layer protocol for allocating, metering and verifying professional time. It consists of four layers: a deterministic ledger, a time allocation engine, a time stream protocol, and an identity and access layer. SWTT is the closed-loop unit of account used inside TAP. It is not the protocol itself.

SWTT - The TAP Unit of Account

TAP uses SWTT, a purpose-built utility token, as its internal unit of account. It is not sold, traded or marketed. It exists solely to support deterministic time allocation inside the TAP protocol. 1 SWTT = 1 hour of professional time. Ledger entries are recorded in minutes. The redemption engine multiplies by 60 to ensure deterministic session recording.

Protocol Layers

TAP is structured as four protocol layers:

Layer 1 - Deterministic Ledger→
Layer 2 - Time Allocation→
Layer 3 - Time Streams→
Layer 4 - TAP-ID

Why this is not a speculative token project

  • Non-monetary
  • Not sold or traded
  • Owner-controlled mint and burn
  • Non-speculative

SWTT exists because TAP requires a precise, verifiable unit of time. It is a closed-loop utility token used solely to support deterministic time allocation. This makes the system regulatory-light, enterprise-friendly, and globally deployable. It is infrastructure, not a financial instrument.

Market Fit

The TAP protocol applies to any industry that relies on structured time interactions:

  • Legal services
  • Medical consultations
  • Aviation training
  • Coaching
  • Professional services
  • AI scheduling engines
  • Workforce allocation

It provides a consistent, verifiable foundation for time-linked digital systems.

What the project produces

01

Analytical Writing

Essays, reports, and editorial work that bring intellectual rigour to complex subjects. Written for readers who want to understand, not just be informed.

02

Long-Form Research

Deep investigative work on subjects that reward sustained attention - from market structures to institutional dynamics to emerging technology.

03

AI-Enhanced Production

Original thinking, accelerated. AI is used as a production tool - not a replacement for judgment - to deliver work of greater depth and scope.
